About the English Olympiad

Created by ChatClass, in partnership with the Regional English Language Office (RELO) of the U.S. Embassy, the English Olympiad is a cultural contest designed to encourage English learning in Brazil. The contest was developed for middle and high school students, is free of charge, and provides recognition for both teachers and students.

In 2020, the English Olympiad took place between October 1st and November 2nd. All activities and challenges were carried out through ChatClass, the English Bot on WhatsApp.

In 2019, the contest saw the participation of more than 130,000 students and 5,000 teachers.
